Gamecube games for kids

Mario Party 5 and Super Monkey Ball 2 are probably the best games my 7 year old has for all ages. While it's true that the Story Mode of SMB2 does get difficult quickly, the party games are all pretty simple and should provide hours of fun. Mario Party 5 is also pretty straightforward, but the instructions for the myriad of mini-games would require the ability to read if he's going to play without adults present.

Spongebob Squarepants: the Battle for Bikini Botton is also a really good platformer -- it would definitely be a hit if he's a fan of the show. But again, reading ability would be a big bonus. Yes, my vote is the Mario Party Im not a dad..
