How to play ripped playstation 3 games
Use your joystick and pick dumper, the payloads will automatically load and it will begin the process. Now go back to the main menu and launch the game that you want to dump. It will also remind you to do this too. It will begin to start the process and update you with the percentage it has copied to the USB drive. Now, this process could take a while depending on how big the game is. Now click on the build button and it will bring up the options just leave them alone and go down to the bottom and tell it where you would like to save it to.
I'm understanding the process bit by bit, but I will surely take time to do research or better yet try it out myself on the fly. Not only can I have the option make an ISO out of copied files, but I can also make ISOs directly from an actual disc dump the kind I would likely to do since its untouched. Thanks again,.
So since you need to decrypt something on the game files before making it an ISO, it means I need to touch or tinker with it to make it work on my PS3. I may need to read more about this, as long as it will make installation faster vs PKG linker I will try it out. DeViL , May 18, I would likely prefer dumping these on my PC as I don't want my PS3's drive and discs to wear out anytime soon.
Thank you very much for your responses. I will be moving to HEN once I have completely understand the process. I will be installing both Multiman and Irisman afterwards. Does RetroArch has a specific place to ask questions?
Or should I install separate emulators? TheGreatErikku , Nov 30, No, doesn't. Just asking in General section or eventually moderators will move the threads. I don't see a reason to installing separating cores. You will loose a lot of space by that. Cores are ok, and also emulation quality is ok but GUI is terribly broken. Many option doesn't work or just freeze the console.
Cannot be configured on the console, lost settings, breaking settings, breaking save states and I really hate that part. It's harsh words but I'm so extremely disappointing Berion , Nov 30, And how do I config RetroArch?
I installed the package and can run it fine but i can't find the directory while in ftp. Is there an hidden folder like devhidden or must I create them manually? Ill try manually and see how it goes. TheGreatErikku , Dec 1, On unix like systems, hidden content is content started by dot in filename but this is only an unwritten law interpreting by file managers.
On PS3 such thing just doesn't exist, everything is visible. Berion , Dec 1, Something happened and Webman doesn't work anymore. Weirdly I can still access it in browser but nothing is shown on PS3. I even uninstalled the updater app and I can't install it anymore full or lite.
I don,t even see the install package on the XMB. If I update from official 4. Reinstalling from the updater should bring those back at least. I use multiman myself for ripping games to isos, so can't advice much on that front.
I'll try later and see what happens. Edit: also, hold down L1 I think, hover over the updater for a bit and the description will scroll over and tell you what does what when running the webmanmod updater to make sure you install the full edition. I noticed a 'Rebuild' and a 'Recover' option inside setup.
I made sure to install the full version of webMAN MOD holding down L1 as instructed and checked after the installation that the full version was installed. Everything seemed to install fine, I had pulled the HDD and wiped it using my PC to reset the user count etc and start properly fresh then installed the bare minimum before wMM using the latest updater. ZeroOne , Jan 29, Thanks for confirming what the rebuild and recover options do bitsbubba and for the advice, I'll try to reinstall wMM tonight.
I know it probably sounds like a pointless exercise but if I can I would like to figure this out and if not at least confirm it doesn't work so it can be fixed if it is possible. Thanks again everyone, after running the wMM updater the cut copy and paste buttons reappeared in the file manager, really happy to have those back. I wonder if I installed wMM before updating to 4.
