Run windows in ramdisk
Hey Robbin2, glad to see ru-board'ers here. Yes you can mount a small Ramdisk while booting from HDD and let system install that hardware, afterwards it shouldn't ask any questions. Posted 23 February - PM. How can I post a picture here in this post? Could you please explain how it could be done? Use ImDisk? Won't it use its own drivers, instead of Firadisk? I believe its because of Widnows' inablity to work with 2 partitions on Flash drive.
Maybe if I have Windows installed on Flash Drive, and try to install another window on this drive but in VHD it stops because of this limitation. Windows Embedded Standard 7 with my template does not create pagefile by default at all.

My understanding is this would not be a supported configuration, since you would be installing into non-volatile memory. Meaning, Windows would be wiped out of memory everytime you boot the system or shutdown.

In reply to Andre Da Costa's post on April 4, Andre, In case it wasn't clear from my original post, the partition I'm putting on the ramdisk is the EFI System Partition ESP , not the boot partition C: , which is still in its original location on disk.
Andre, Since the Windows bootloader doesn't need to write to the system partition ESP , why would it matter that the ramdisk is volatile? I guess most of the ramdisk programs has that option… but I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing… you refer to making the profile persistent.
