Run windows in ramdisk

Hey Robbin2, glad to see ru-board'ers here. Yes you can mount a small Ramdisk while booting from HDD and let system install that hardware, afterwards it shouldn't ask any questions. I believe its because of Widnows' inablity to work with 2 partitions on Flash drive.

My understanding is this would not be a supported configuration, since you would be installing into non-volatile memory. Meaning, Windows would be wiped out of memory everytime you boot the system or shutdown.

Andre, Since the Windows bootloader doesn't need to write to the system partition ESP , why would it matter that the ramdisk is volatile? I guess most of the ramdisk programs has that option… but I am not sure if we are talking about the same thing… you refer to making the profile persistent.
